The door to jackabrick 2 information

This is the largest singular jack in our range. It is used mainly for supporting brickwork when removing two to three courses of bricks for inspecting and/or cleaning cavities or in the installation of damp proof courses and cavity trays. This size is particularly useful when used in conjunction with JACKABRICK 1: where a second or third brick falls out from above, the jack can be installed to provide support.

JACKABRICK 2 is perfect for supporting old brickwork when infilling above a new steel. Typically, joists block access to the inside so you are forced to work from the outside. When a brick drops on the inside skin, it is virtually impossible to push it back up tightly. With our jack, you are able to support all of the bricks and build new brickwork underneath - simply remove the jack the next day and infill with masonry. It can also be used in a number of situations where a small jack may be required:

  • to jack up floor joists before packing level

  • to level up windows prior to fixing

  • to level up stairs at the base during installation

  • to level up lintel (under one side) in order to build brick underneath

  • replacing a continuous DPC to ground floor walls in damp properties

  • to install continuous cavity trays along with our specialist roll-out tray system

Please note: when installing a continuous cavity tray, we recommend two jacks per 900mm so work can progress non-stop, cutting standard installation time by around 50%. Using a combination of JACKABRICK 1 and 2 works best.
